Dungeons & Dragons explained in 10 words or less.
Also, to hell with the word ‘occasional’. It always takes me at least three tries to get it right.

“The Raven Queen had grown accustomed to her unkindness.”
A flock of ravens is generally referred to as an ‘unkindness’.
I think the term stems from their association with death, witches and the like.
Ravens (and witches, for that matter) have never been anything but cordial during the interactions I’ve had with them, so I don’t see why we treat them with such disdain.
Anyway, this is a Shorts post for ravens, witches, deities of death and D&D lovers alike. You do you, boo 🖤
Hello, hello! Today I’m sharing a super simple Jester Lavorre cosplay tutorial based on the recent costume I put together for the Sydney Oz Comic-Con Pop-Up 2021. This Critical Role (from the mind of Laura Bailey) inspired character cosplay was a lot of fun to make and could honestly be done pretty easily by cosplayers of all skill levels. You’ll be pleased to learn that I haven’t, in fact, disappeared off the face of the Earth. I’ve just recently been consumed by my bi-annual hiatus from this blog. You know how it goes. I’m the worst. We’re all well aware of this by now.
So, after an extended (and much needed) break, your friendly neighbourhood Kates is back, and you’d damn well better be #praying for her.
As a socially awkward introvert, the very thought of partaking in any kind of role-playing activity generally has me ducking for cover. Instead, with some thorough coaxing from friends, I decided to give Dungeons & Dragons a go. I created a character who is a socially awkward introvert, therefore I am completely within my element.
It’s safe to say that I’m D&D obsessed. The narratives, the characters, the backstories, the hilarious highs and the downright soul crushing lows. The stories involved in this seemingly simple game are absolutely astoundingly awesome!
