Korean Marinated Grilled Beef (Bulgogi)

Ok, so there are no pictures to help you envision this dish…but that just leaves it open to interpretation which is way more fun, in my humble opinion. UPDATE: I found some images of this dish in action so you can put your imagination away for now. This recipe is brought to you by the talented chef (and energy drink enthusiast) Liam McKay. He’s done the hard work in putting this recipe together, so you (and I) don’t have to. So, without further ado, here is a delicious (and very easy to make) rendition of a fantastic dish…Korean marinated grilled beef, a.k.a. bulgogi. It takes just 10 ingredients and 4 easy steps! Enjoy…

Korean Marinated Grilled Beef (Bulgogi)

Ingredients:

✔️ 500 grams of sliced sirloin steak

✔️ 5 tbsp sugar

✔️ ½ cup soy sauce

✔️ 2 bulbs garlic minced

✔️ ¼ tsp salt

✔️ 5 tbsp mirin

✔️ 2 tbsp sesame oil

✔️ 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

✔️ 1 cup green onions sliced

✔️ 2 cups thinly sliced carrots

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients (except carrots) together in a bowl and let marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  2. After marinating, stir-fry the mix over medium heat until the meat is cooked slightly under the desired amount.
  3. Add the carrots and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Serve over rice or salad and enjoy!

That’s it! That’s all there is to it. Thanks for sharing Liam 🙂
