It’s Been A Hot Minute…

Yeah, sorry about that. It’s been a long while since I actually sat down and wrote something here aside from the weekly Shorts posts. I guess I’ll use this as an opportunity to go over a little bit of a life update. If this bores you, scroll on. If you’re nosy, read on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Life

Life. Ugh. But also, life. Yay!

So, a few things…

We’re in lockdown again here in Sydney. Not such a bad thing for me because I thrive on not having to socialise often. I feel for those whose wellbeing and/or work situations rely on physically interacting with people though.

I’ve written here before about my shitty, shitty thyroid, PCOS and looooow iron levels. We’re still trying to figure the thyroid and PCOS stuff out BUT my iron levels have improved since starting on supplements so no infusion needed! The amount of pills I take on a daily basis has gone from 0 in January 2021 to 5 as of June 2021 which is a hell of a lot of work for my lazy memory to handle. Oh well, things are looking up at least.

The fam are good. Ad is sick atm. The plus is that it’s not Covid. The minus is that it not being Covid doesn’t stop him from snoring himself into oblivion each night. Otherwise, he’s fine and dandy. The cats are soooooooooooo n0Rty. They’re little rascals with no respect for authority and a healthy disdain for staying away from food they shouldn’t be eating. I have no idea where they get that from… 😏

Coming up next year I’ve got 2 super important weddings to attend as bridesmaid for both. Excited as heck to see my actual sister and my sister-friend do the thing. No plans for Ad and I to tie the knot as yet. I’m sure once we start planning I’ll have updates to share here.

Dungeons & Dragons still takes up a good portion of my time. I fucking love it, you guys. I always say this but if you have the chance to play…do it!

Contrary to popular belief, I do still manage to fit in time for work…

Work

Work has…blossomed. Just today I spoke with an amazing business strategy advisor who helped me figure out what it is I should be doing in order to make my processes more streamlined and start actively working towards my goals. Up until now I’ve kind of just been coasting along, making shit up, winging it and hoping for the best. I can’t wait to get stuck into setting a transformation in motion. If you’d like the contact details of said business strategy advisor, hit me up.

I need to say a HUGE thank you to my clients for always being so fabulous. You’re all wonderful and you make me feel like I’m making a difference in the world each and every day.

If you follow along on my business social media pages, you’ll have noticed that I’ve been trying to be much more active on there. If you don’t follow them, I basically share things to do with writing, language, freelancing, business and other helpful stuff for creatives and business owners. Feel free to follow along if you think that would be helpful to you…
